I have used and bought many similar USB extenders and there have been many winners and many .

I have used and purchased many of these USB extenders and there have been many winners and many losers. I had intermittent signals and just wouldn't wake up thinking my Cat5 cable was bad and it was an extension cord. I extend the USB port from a laptop at the tech table 100-150 feet to the podium and use the USB mouse on the podium to advance my PowerPoint slides (I also have a keyboard connected). This MUST work! Well, this expander is flawless. No special instructions for connecting or connecting. It's like a MAC, it just works! I'm ordering another one today. Highly recommended!
