Useless Inverter Can't Keep Up

This inverter barely kept my phone charged on a six-hour road trip. The one positive thing I can say is that it's compact, but that's all it has going for it. The 400W output is clearly insufficient for modern electronics, and it doesn't seem reliable for longer trips. Don't waste your money.

Super disappointment, best jump starters, chargers and portable power supplies

I had this inverter for 3 months and loved every second. Right up until the fan started making a horrible noise and then BAM, it exploded in my car right next to my hand. So not only do I have a burn on my hand, I also have a return window. $33.78 I will never see again and I don't have an inverter that I really need. Attention everyone - buy an extended warranty. Lesson learned.

It worked fine. until he tried to burn down the car with us.

We've had one of these for a couple of years, this particular model. It was always good until we went on a holiday trip a few days ago. The vents were clean and it wasn't hot at all, but suddenly smoke came out. I yanked the cable out of the car as fast as I could and then started checking everything. There's no heat outside so I'm not sure what's going on, but I definitely won't be buying another.
