The quality of the materials is high and the cord is 6 feet long, making it easy to use in many situations. The best part is the recessed on/off toggle switches for each plug. You never knew you needed them so badly until you had a plug that was too big to fit an extension cord, as it keeps shutting off the outlet when the oversized adapter presses the on/off button…

I contacts Tripp Lite via this Tripp Lite 1 Outlet Portable Surge Protector based on the many reviews published in Revain reporting overheating and fire related to this product. Tripp Lite was unable to provide any documentation to indicate that the Tripp Lite 1-Outlet Portable Surge Protector Power Strip will interrupt power to connected devices and/or other safe failure modes when the surge protector is depleted. On the other hand, the Tripp Lite Isobar 2 Power Strip with Outlet Surge…

This surge protector was just 4 months old at the time.

This surge protector was only 4 months old when our 1 year old TV broke. A few minutes after the power surge, I smelled burning electrical wires and realized it was coming from our TV. The TV stopped working with our soundbar. I jumped through the extensive hoops installed by Tripp Lite and had to spend $12 to send them my surge protector to test. Surprise! They checked the surge protector and said they were voiding their warranty as the surge protector showed no sign of over voltage. I even…
