POS buy not good for network products

Bought two of these. The first was DOA. The 2nd worked (sort of). The Wi-Fi portion of the device is not working. I logged into the TRUconnect website and used the chat feature to get help. (Omar G. was speaker) after a long 45 minute press. The bottom line is that the device is defective and I have to send it back. More trouble than good. I had to spend $10 to use the data and activate it. It's wasted because it's not worth the headache of trying to get it back from TRUconnect. Do not buy, do…

  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Empty

I recently bought this here. When I tried to activate it, it was already in use or not available. I sent it back, just couldn't get it to work. I wanted to try one, so I went to this company's website and ordered one. I received it after a while and this time it activated quickly. It works, it's not the fastest thing in the world, but it's ok if you're not in a hurry. The only thing missing here is customer support. Your website has a form that needs to be filled out for customer service. Since

Nice and not expensive

This product is exactly what I was looking for. Instead of paying $30-$40 per phone per month for some data allowance, I took it with me when I traveled (I have 5 phones under contract, do the math). I'm usually within range of indoor Wi-Fi, and now anyone can use it when we're out and about at a fraction of the cost of contracted wireless carriers. It might be a bit more for an MB, but with limited usage I don't expect to get more than $20 for a busy month. Setup only took about 5 minutes and…

Do not disturb

I have had issues with this unit since the day I received it including: 1: Bad battery - it didn't charge right away. 2: Unable to securely connect to network - 3G access was patchy. I know it's the device as my phone stays at 4-5 bars with no issues and the hotspot I replaced it with also stays at 4-5 bars. This device is having reception problems. 3: Price - There are others that are better just for the price. I suggest that you carefully consider the actual use of the data. The prices are a…

Nice. Networking Products

This arrived the day before I left so I didn't really have time to play with it before I left. I had time to set it up at home and it worked right away. When I've arrived at my destination, there is no way. wow, clasp. I was very frustrated because I really depended on him as within two weeks he was going to be my only viable source on the internet. Two LONG calls to very patient reps and 48 hours later, voila! Instant Internet! Apparently it was an issue on their side that was preventing it…

Absolute rubbish! on hotspots

I bought this because an order for a similar device with Virgin Mobile looked like it would be late but it did arrive. and died. Hello, it was a used device. However, this device will not activate if you don't have internet access (unlike Virgin Mobile, which you can activate from the device). This device was listed as not contracted, but it may also charge you $5 per month and automatically "top-up" your account. Died after 3 hours of use! When I got home I returned the device through Revain…

Not recommended for networking products

I bought TruConnect from Revain what a disaster. The TruConnect charger did not charge the device, I requested a new charger but never received it. After learning to charge the system through our computer, I could not go online. To top it off why this is a bad investment. All you know is how to charge your credit card every few days even if you can't connect to the network. Revain, this is another no return joke. Looks like I'm about to eat this system
