Not suitable for mounting camera

Don't waste your money using this for IP cameras. The signal keeps getting lost. I only use it for 3 cameras and have to return to my client to replace the 250ft. I will not buy it for my business needs. I hope this helps with setting the IP. Updated on 05/19/2020. I am renovating my office this month and am using this cable to replace old cables. Bad idea. Then, god, I check my network before I close the walls. I have an internet speed of 1 Gbps, this cable will not pass 100baseT, I need to…

Pros
  • FOR INDOOR USE. The yellow housing of the riser is intended for use in rooms between floors, in walls and in rooms not connected to the plenum. Support floor-to-floor fire propagation in vertical installations with moderate fire resistance.
Cons
  • little things

This is the worst CAT5 I've ever dealt with. It kept kinking after we pulled a length of cable out of the box. The strangest thing was that he wanted to kill himself. You will have a clean looking cable, but if you examine it there will be a kink that will be catastrophic for conductivity. Unfortunately, we had walked about 800 feet of this material before we found this problem. We ripped it all out and took it and the other box with us. Even weirder, this only happened with the RED wire. Green

Pros
  • SOLID COPPER CONDUCTORS. Pure bare copper gives a stronger signal along with better conductivity and flexibility than copper clad aluminum (CCA).
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Update: Works even if the cable is longer than 60 feet

I made 3 cables for my IP camera using this cable. Those 30 feet or less work well. The one at 60 feet doesn't work. I cannot connect to the camera because the connection quality is very poor. When I ping it I only get 25-50% responses. No it's not a camera because I tried two different cameras and they behaved the same. So do not buy this cable if you plan to use a long network cable. Update 6/5/19 Updated to 5 stars. I found out why the 60ft cable wasn't working. I mistakenly used only half…
