Works best in fasteners

Works great in solid brick and blocks. You can cut it to length. Would recommend different drywall anchors as this style only expands on the side

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Volume

Excellent for use on brick

Excellent for use on brick. I used these to protect my window frames (Mayne 4840-B Cape Cod Polyethylene Window Frame, 3ft, Black) when the old brick I was drilling into fell off.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Don't buy this junk but I did! See below.

This company recommends using a 15/64 inch masonry bit. I've searched the net and found nothing. 1/4" masonry is too big and 3/16" masonry is too small. To get these anchors to work I used a 3/16" masonry bit and a 15/64" cobalt bit to adjust. Check your drill bit size before purchasing!

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Obsolete

This small anchor requires a 15/64 " drill bit.

I think the main problem is that I couldn't find the size in the info and with only 25 anchors at that price I threw the dice hoping for one that uses a 3/8 drill bit , the anchor is much larger. The product uses a 1" #7-9 screw and requires a 15/64" hole. This is a pack of 25 anchors only. If you need this custom sized anchor, there is one. But you can get 1/4" anchor bolts for a fraction of that price.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • something different
