Very disappointed with this pillow. The first was almost dry. It was replaced and it wasn't much better. The stamped image was not evenly colored. Some parts were solid and some were transparent. I found the black Versacolor ink pad to be the best ink pad I had, but the white was terrible.

The pigment definitely becomes translucent with a single application and it is obvious that if you want a more opaque image, applying the stamp several times usually does not work. Next time I'll probably choose a white fabric paint stencil to get the desired effect.

This ink pad arrived quite dry. I consistently get better embossing results with the Colorbox pad I bought a year ago. I think I would give this brand a try as it gets raved about on embossing blogs. This product gives your stamped product a vintage look if that's what you're looking for, but I don't recommend it for stamping.

I may be using the ink pad incorrectly. I found a white ink Stampin Up Pad and it seems to have cleaner prints. I'll try experimenting some more with the Tsukineko white ink pad to see what it does - it was highly recommended to me by another artist.

Like other VersaColor products, this set comes with a fairly solid block that is good for detail but doesn't hold much ink. It's a little softer than VersaFine but firmer than many other brands/types. Especially with white, it is difficult to achieve a bright covering effect due to the hardness. On the other hand, it can work very well with embossing powder, especially on non-white paper where visibility is important. On non-white paper, you may be disappointed with the opacity (or lack…
