Great bindings in my review

My first pair of snowshoes were tubs - 20 years ago but the bindings are everything- these are great! They are best for off trail but still doable for trails

Pros
  • Bought as Christmas present my daughter loves them thank you
Cons
  • The Tubbs Snowshoes Mountaineer W can be quite heavy, making it difficult for some hikers to maneuver in steep mountainous terrain.

I have only been able to use these once due to lack of snow this year. But I absolutely loved them. Definitely takes some practice and poles help. I was the only person in my group with snowshoes and I was blasting through the snow while my hiking buddies were just sinking in. They ended up following my trench. Fun workout. It’s just challenging figuring out how to carry them in my backpack.

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • The Tubbs Snowshoes Mountaineer W has a unique binding system that may take some time to get used to, making it less than ideal for those who prefer traditional snowshoe designs

Sturdy SnowShoes in my review

My husband and I each ordered a pair so we could up our level of activity during the cold winter months. It's a great change of pace to walking the roads! We now have new areas to explore and take in the beauty of the woods that had been off limits.

Pros
  • ‎1 Year Manufacturer Warranty
Cons
  • Users with smaller feet may find it challenging to get a snug fit on the Tubbs Snowshoes Mountaineer W, resulting in a less secure feel during use.

Beautiful color, perfect functionality

These snowshoes are not only beautiful, but function fantastically! I needed to replace my tired 10-year old snowshoes, also Tubbs, with a newer pair meant for backcountry hiking. After reading many reviews, I went with Tubbs hoping they will last just as long as my new pair. The snowshoes arrive earlier than the initial shipping notification (win!), and were boxed nicely. The color is beautiful, and although I am not "girly-girl” I am loving the vibrant purple. The crampons are amazing, and…

Pros
  • Traction: Anaconda Toe Crampon, Python Heel Crampon
Cons
  • Although the Tubbs Snowshoes Mountaineer W includes steel crampons for added traction, they may not be sufficient for extremely icy or rocky conditions, putting users at risk of slipping or falling.

Great for deep and steep

I usually go snowshoeing off-trail up steep ascents and oftentimes, when lucky, through deep snow. These snowshoes have been perfect. The fact that they are easy to get on and off and adjust is a bonus.

Pros
  • ‎2019
Cons
  • The price point of the Tubbs Snowshoes Mountaineer W may put it out of reach for budget-conscious individuals or those who only snowshoe occasionally.
