3 stars and a bit of a disappointment

Comes with only half the hardware. I sent a steering damper kit but bought 2 so one shock fits together nicely but I had to use bushings from my old shock and downsize the bushing a bit.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Shipping was bad! I ordered two shock absorbers with boots and they are.

Not that there's anything wrong with the product. Shipping was bad! Ordered two shocks with boots and both had to be reordered which was fine but the second order took another week. I ordered with Prime, it took 2 weeks.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Almost never

Well they tried. Best in Parts

Well we tried. The shocks are the right length, but that's where the good ends. The hardware was wrong. The mounting holes on the shocks are 3/4, but the mounting bolts on the truck are not. Yes, it came with metal bushings that fit the rubber bushing, but that still leaves a difference of over 1/4" between the standard bolt size and the mounting holes. So I spend more money on decent shock sleeves. Note that possibly additional hardware is required to properly install these shocks.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

It's very sad when the manufacturer can't even understand what.

Revain AND Tuff Country list these shocks as suitable for a 2009 Jeep Wrangler with my son's 4 inch lift kit. They absolutely do NOT fit! Ford or Chevy applications must also fit) but the Jeep roof mount requires a cross member through a rubber bushing that attaches with two bolts. Those shock absorbers. These shock absorbers will be returned and I will find the shock absorbers from another manufacturer. It's pretty frustrating when a manufacturer can't even figure out what their own products…

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • So So
