The hardest part was getting the clips to release the old cylinders. I replaced the first cylinder and it was strong enough to hold the trunk lid on its own. They were easy to replace and very durable. Now I have to push hard to close the trunk lid.

I know nothing about cars and bought a used one that didn't have the boot raised. Found it online and bought it. They were very easy to install and worked great. Saved a lot of money, I'm sure if someone else installed them for me. I'm just suggesting finding someone to help you with that.

I'm no mechanic, especially nothing car related, but installing it to replace the worn tappets on my 2013 Elantra GT hatchback was literally easier than replacing the wipers. All you need is a flat head screwdriver to remove the clips on each end of the old jacks and then insert the new ones. Very easy. I should have bought these 3 years ago. Well the sunroof only went down in cooler/colder weather so it was fine for about 8 months of the year. Wow, don't be stupid like me! They are cheap. Super easy installation on almost all cars (1 clip, standard screwdriver) With assistant - new lifting supports in 10 minutes! And boy, educate them! And hold the hatch.
