They were very small. My daughter has medium sized Tuffrider winter fleece breeches so I bought her a size M too and she could barely put them on! If you go up a size, lightweight riding tights will feel tighter than winter tights. Otherwise the quality is excellent. I finally decided on a different pair of breeches for her because she didn't like the big waistband.
