Much better than pinball magnets, pinballs are made in China with very cheap workmanship and inferior materials and magnets. On the other hand, Tunze magnet cleaners are made in Germany with superior craftsmanship and materials, they will last you forever, this is my favorite magnet cleaner of all time. I have a JBJ 28 that was literally covered in coral when I bought it 9 months ago. The weekly razor blade maintenance was driving me crazy so I bought this unit. I am glad I bought this item. It works exactly as advertised and as soon as you take it out of the box it's clear that it's well built. Once you have read and followed the instructions and are using the Tunze Care Nano it is also clear that it is well designed. It's almost perfect for my purposes - I recently bought a new flashlight which showed a lot of white algae build up on the pane of my aquarium. The first time I used it, it took me about 12 minutes to clean 3 sides of the aquarium. Tank.
