I like the flame of this torch

I like the flame of this torch. But I've had several and always have problems. I take very good care of my flashlights and have had trigger and ignition issues with these flashlights. The one I just bought lasted 3 small uses before the trigger stopped clicking. So I have to light my own flame for this. I just wish they were more durable because the flames are big.

Pros
  • Welding equipment and accessories
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

that's a good flashlight. Heats copper and brass fairly quickly

As for the flame, this is a good torch. Copper and brass heat up fairly quickly. However, the self-igniter is annoying! If the first week works, then at some point the firing pin or the lighter will be used. Disappointing as hell. If someone is paying that much money for it, it should work on the first pull of the trigger every time. Cheap lighters work better than this igniter. But for a flashlight with a map gas cylinder, it quenches the heat.

Pros
  • Welding and Soldering
Cons
  • Something Else

Not very good - Gas welder

Not very good. I had to get out my B-tank with turbo nozzle to solder a 3/4" OD pipe and some 90's. Start and shutdown work great. It's great for typical 95/5 soldering or 3/4 soldering at low temperature. ". 1" and 1-1/4". Best used in basements or attics for general plumbing work but not for soldering 3/4" or larger pipe as advertised. Bernzomatic could have been used for less cost...but I will still use it in Basements, attics and tight spaces like this, but it doesn't deliver what I thought

Pros
  • Gas welder
Cons
  • Not as thick as other pickaxes
