Turtle Fur Shellaclava Fleece Balaclava Review

Hey, whatever keeps me warm in minus terrain, I'm all for it! That little number does just that. Of course, not everything alone goes well with a ski/snowboard helmet, goes well with a woolen or cashmere hat and a nice warm scarf. It also keeps my chin warm and my ears cared for. Keep me warm it does! Easy, which is beautiful. Bought two so one can dry while I use the other.

Worked great on our ski trip to Vail, Colorado. The weather was 20 degrees Fahrenheit and cloudy/snowy. We needed something to cover our faces when walking down the slope. This product is very soft and comfortable to wear. Normally when you close your nose and mouth your breath gets into the material, but this product keeps you dry very well (of course you will feel a little damp, but it dries quickly.

Item is fine but seller Turtle Fur will sell returned items as new. THIS ITEM IS USED - NOT NEW. Apparently it was a used return which was packed in a plastic bag and sealed with tape. When I got dressed, I immediately smelled dirty laundry or sweat on my face. I washed it in the sink with Woolite and when I rinsed it I got brown mud in the rinse water. It was obviously repackaged as it arrived with the tags attached. DISGUSTING!

This mask is very good. I work in a freezer and this mask is almost perfect. The bottom half cuts like crazy in the wind, but after 8-10 hours a day the entire front of the mask is soaked with my breath because it's not breathing very well. I really like the top half because it's thinner and fits my helmet better than a big ski mask. This is a well deserved 5 star rating for an excellent product. I have used my turtle skin shellaclava 5 times skiing Mount Hood (OR) in weather that is typically 20 degrees Fahrenheit (F) with occasional snow and winds in excess of 20 miles per hour. Pros: Fits fairly well under a helmet and it's a good thing that there isn't a cold air gap between the cuff and the liner. Stop the wind. Disadvantages: Cannot be pulled over the nose as not much air can get through the fleece. It just fogs up your glasses/glasses. The fleece is of poor quality and for guys if you don't shave ten seconds before applying it to your mustache the material will rip leaving you with black fuzz all over your face and it's actually pretty hard to shave off.
