It doesn't do what is most needed/useful.

Small extension cord does not work due to poor construction. Just the pressure of holding the iPad is enough to make it fold back up. The locking mechanism is not strong or strong enough. It's fatal - it's the only piece that holds the iPad at a right angle for viewing, video calling, etc. Also, one of the 'legs' that fold out to hold the iPad gets stuck and it gets stuck is practically impossible to pull it out. again as soon as it is filled again. This part is hard, which suits me. But it's…

Pros
  • Optional rear foot allows you to position iPad at a comfortable angle for typing or drawing.
Cons
  • Useless functions

Feel comfortable in stands

When I got my hands on this I was surprised at how heavy it is. It's a durable, versatile item that you can carry around and will last a long time. It's probably close to 5 pounds.

Pros
  • Made of metal and soft silicone for a secure and durable stand that can also hold an iPad or tablet.
Cons
  • Not sure

Will not work with Apple products

I have an Android tablet, this item works great. GREAT design and functionality. Already bought another one for a colleague.

Pros
  • Designed, marketed, and supported by Twelve South, a small family business based in Charleston, South Carolina.
Cons
  • For the old

Surprisingly imperfect due to high cost

Updated early August 2021 as per attached image) and is totally unable to hold extended hind leg. I removed my "temporary fix" image as it's pretty pointless. My current solution is to just staple and glue everything in place inside, in the fully extended position. If you have it, this might fix it for you too. Update late July 2021: Clarifications) I don't write many reviews but this case needs a warning to potential buyers and maybe some help for existing users. It should work well for its…

Pros
  • New optimized size fits all iPad and iPad Pro sizes (except iPad Mini). Tablets from 6" to 12" x 9" wide also work.
Cons
  • Good but not great

Not new: so disappointed

The removable frame is not new. The box was torn and the travel case was missing. Update: The plot thickens. I actually got a used Compass 2 instead of a Compass Pro. Check your order carefully.

Pros
  • Picks up an iPad or tablet to protect it from damage in the kitchen or office.
Cons
  • money box Price

Very Well Built: Worth it

This was made by a very bored engineer. This is one of my best finds for my traveling office job. Everyone asks where I got it from. Only problem is when I show them they see the cost. However, I love it

Pros
  • Folds up and fits into the included protective case to take with you wherever you go.
Cons
  • No color required

Brilliant! Electronics

The thing is put together so well that I also have the books. A bit pricey for an iPad holder. On the other hand, I'm sure we can do something else with it.

Pros
  • Compass is a compact, foldable stand that can hold an iPad or tablet in either landscape or portrait orientation.
Cons
  • Communication with the seller
