The wire is so thin! I unrolled it VERY carefully and cut off the ends of the cardboard as I worked. I slowly straightened the wire and began to wrap the fall arrangement. I really like my flickering lightbulbs, I share my videos with family and friends. Even though my Christmas season is over, my flickering lights stay on all year round. I put them on my porch, especially in the evenings when they make it so cozy and inviting. Everyone loves what I made on my porch. The best product I've bought

We got the light on time and hung it on our porch. We have them on a light-activated timer and while they're nice and dimmable and what we wanted for accent lighting, they have to be turned on manually when the timer is cycled on and off, which it does on a daily basis. So 3 stars instead of 5 and I will change them every day until they expire and I will buy something else.

The ONLY coating on this item is on the end where the control and dimmer power wire is and a small piece of clear heat shrink tubing at the very end of the item. It doesn't appear to have any electrical safety devices or power control components in its electronics (see photos) other than the power supply, which I don't think is safe enough on its own. I have ordered two more of these lights because I liked the first one I bought earlier. The old one bought earlier flashes at different speeds. However, this new order I'm ordering recently doesn't do that at all. You just plug them in and just press either button to make them lighter or darker. These lamps are very nice. But there are some very real logistical issues preventing me from using them for their intended purpose. I wanted to hang them on the ceiling of my tanning bed so I could decorate the walls freely. The wires are black, meaning they stand out as they crawl up the wall from the outlet, where the sheer lights begin. I like these lights. I have several different brands but this is my first time ordering this brand. The first thing I noticed is that the copper wire is more durable than some of the other brands I've had. It's not bad at all because they don't get tangled. Some brands have all three wires split between each light. If they get tangled, just throw them away. It literally took me HOURS to unravel them. So that's a huge bonus for me.
