Works just as well as the handles in reverse! After a few months of use they have worn down a bit but are still usable. For the price I can't complain.

I got this to protect my hands when pulling myself up the 1 inch bar it was killing my hands. Practice gloves did not have long enough fingers to provide adequate protection. I have very small wrists and was concerned they would not fit properly - that the strap is attached with velcro but they fit great and do the job. I can't say how long they will last but if they fall apart in an unreasonably short period of time I will come back and update my review.
