Control Water Flow with Two Little Fishies ATL5445W Ball Valve - 1/2-Inch for Effective Regulation Review

Works great with standard 1/2" vinyl tubing, will not block flow when fully open and will not leak when closed. Can adjust the amount of water passing through fairly accurately, and the valve rotates smoothly. As far as things like that go, it's close to perfect for its intended purpose.

These are great little all valves. I use them to control the flow in my Fosbane reactor. I got this extra to avoid leaks when disconnecting when cleaning my reactor. Simply close the inlet and outlet valves and disconnect the hoses while the reactor is in the bucket. I've been using it for over 18 months with no problems. I love these ball valves!

Worked great as an additional barrier on our motorhome. Our overflow water tank is in the RV and I didn't like the idea of draining all of the water on our property to empty the tank while we assembled our pop up house. This gave me the ability to leave the internal damper open and closed until I got to the access road and drained the water as we drove down the road.

If you buy 3/4, note that it is difficult to rotate. I spent 20 minutes trying to free him the first time and I'm pretty strong. After it finally freed itself, it spun smoothly and seemed solid. I think it still requires 10-15 pounds of force to twist, but it's pretty easy to do with one hand. Keep in mind I only have 1 of the big ones and all of my 1/2" valves work perfectly

They perfectly matched the overflow hoses of the fresh water tank of our van. I still had issues with so much water leaking out when the tank was full and splashing everywhere. Now I can just close the valve once the tank is full and then open it when we're all settled at our campsite. I can also use it to keep things out of the bins during seasonal storage.

I use these to cut off the visible nose on my Waverunner. Fish are great at that. Unfortunately they break if you try to turn the handle the wrong way. However, I gave it 5 stars because of the low price. If you use the product very carefully, the valve will work well and easily. Personally I would have preferred better quality at a higher price but for my purpose this is still the best product I could find. I don't want to use anything that will corrode in seawater.

There is one to reduce the filter pump capacity on Fluval Spec for Betta. Seems to be working fine. But wow, this sucker was big. I knew it was going to be a 1/2 inch pipe but I wasn't expecting the valve to be that big. But there's nothing wrong with that. Valve is good and tight. But unless it's in a tight space, it's good to make sure the valve stays in the position you placed it in. Universal version of this valve, for general devices, not suitable for aquariums.
