🚗 Nissan Replacement Starter for TYC 1-17982 Review

Great value for a new starter, looks like a quality unit. Installs easily on a 2008 Nissan Sentra and works great. The Nissan dealership wanted to charge my daughter $380 and it took me maybe 15-20 minutes.

Very easy to install. Literally 4 screws and spare. The dealer wanted almost $400 for change. Ordered cheaply, changed in 30 minutes TYC is the recommended non-OEM replacement. It's even cheaper than Rockauto.

I ordered a starter for a 2007 Nissan Sentra and it arrived in 2 days. The Nissan dealership wanted $274 for the starter and the local auto parts store wanted $139 with the exchange. I installed a new starter and it works great.

I was looking for a starter for my 2008 Nissan Versa and there were over 150 in Autozone or Oreillys. I saw this and ordered it locally and it worked! It's smaller than the starter that originally came in my car, but it worked. I paid half the price I would have paid elsewhere. My dad installed it in an hour. I definitely recommend it

This was delivered on 6/19/19. The box looked like something had been chewed through. The instructions were also corrupted (but unnecessary). The starter looked good so it was fitted on 6/22/19. He stopped working on 07/12/19. It would be great if it was a quality product. Now I've run out of labor and won't have a car to drive until I order and install another starter elsewhere. I contacted the seller for a refund as the listing said it had a one year warranty. I do not recommend this product.
