I accidentally installed a beta version of the operating system on my iMac and everything went wrong. I had an extra M2 so I was able to use Time Machine to install the latest good version and it works great over USB.

Great product after a lengthy installation. The non-magnetic screws and very tight end caps made assembly unnecessarily difficult, but other than that it's a very good product.

Pros: Looks good Cons: No instructions or even a diagram were included. 4 screws loosened but could not open. I didn't want to risk breaking it by using a 10 ton press to extrude the inside of the aluminum bushing. waste of time.

I'm a photographer and I use it for data storage. It's small, fast and very easy to install. Transferring data that used to take 30 minutes to transfer now takes just 5 minutes. Safe and stable. I don't know if the chip is good or bad but I think it works great.

Works as intended. Technical support is not required. Would recommend to others. The device heats up, but not much. Thickness isn't a problem, in fact it's pretty thin. (Revane wanted me to mention thickness and warmth, I don't know why.)

Meets my needs but there were no instructions so it wasn't easy to set up and I have no idea how to use the included heatsink plate. The case gets very hot, but I had no problem reading over 300GB when restoring from a backup. I contacted both Amazon support and the seller and a few days later I still don't have the manual. I really don't think the device won't fail, so I'll end up going back and buying something else.

This case has a JMicron JMS583 chip which is very good. However, it's a very thin aluminum case that can't absorb heat fast enough, and the circuit board just slides inward, so there's not good contact between the drive and the case (there has to be an air gap in it or it can't be pushed in will). Just received it today and installed a Silicon Power M.2 NVME 1TB drive in it. Quickly setup in Disk Management and tested with ATTO on my small Inspiron 15 5575 AMD laptop. I have 390MB and 430MB/s writing and reading. Not bad and probably limited by the USB connection. The thing is beautiful. All aluminum with metal end caps. The small blue light also lights up when switched on. It comes with 2 cables for USB 3.0 and USB C. It is well packaged and well protected. It's not the cheapest device,
