Even if you rarely use the ring light, it's worth having a small hand controller to start/stop videos and take photos remotely. We had no problems pairing with the Samsung Galaxy s10. I already have a larger standing ring light but it's quite bulky and the light panels need to be changed to get different lighting effects - warm, bright etc. It's too much work when I want to quickly capture my makeup videos.
