Ideal RV booster antenna/wifi hotspot

I used to run the Ubiquity Bullet with an antenna and while it was decent it didn't have nearly the same range as this directional antenna. The force gauge on the back is very useful and I like picking up signals from a 1/4 mile distance and using them to work. Setup is a bit tricky, but there are some great YouTube videos to get you started in no time. The quality is typical of Ubiquiti as it fits and works great. I wouldn't hesitate. FYI, I have 2.5G because it penetrates leaves and obstacles

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Professional fit/function for the price ($)

I think it should be closer to $12 than $25 for plastic, but it's a mature plastic. Compared to a simple piece of pipe bolted to the wall or a mast plate mount, this mount is great. Comes with an optional suction cup, but if you have one, you can screw the base to the wall. Then it has independent vertical and horizontal adjustment points and is solid. It's quite expensive for a bit of plastic, but if you're mounting the antenna in a location where looks are important OR if you need toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • boring packaging

The rubber suction block is very good but it comes off the window pane at least once or twice in May-August when installed outdoors. If that's the case and it's raining, you can bring rainwater into your nanostation and have to let it dry for two or three days. This happened to me and I thought Nanostation was blocked, but after a few days it recovered and is working again! I ended up using a screw mounting accessory on the window frame. I would say that the suction cup accessory is great inโ€ฆ

They work great. I'd rather hang them on the wall.

I have a couple of these mounts. One attaches to the wall, the other to the glass with a suction cup. I am using Ubiquiti Loco M5 to create wireless PtP bridge between two office buildings. They work great. I wish I could have mounted both on the wall, but the bracket didn't rotate far enough in the desired direction. The glass holder has been in place for about 3 weeks now and makes an absolutely solid impression. I don't see any problems. By the way, I recommend the Loco M5 in all situationsโ€ฆ

Amazing speed and a huge improvement over my old setup

I have been using Engenius' ENH202 kit to connect two houses that are about 1 block apart. I've been using this solution for years and it was sufficient to get about 10Mbps at a remote site over a 2.4GHz beam. Of course I think they are almost 10 years old. Now after using these antennas I get at least 50Mbps down and 12 up with a 5GHz beam. In fact, sometimes I lower the speed to 60 Mbps. The source is wired Internet at a speed of 400 Mbps. I really appreciate the included software that helpsโ€ฆ

  • TV ceiling and wall mounts

Works perfectly! for television and video

They are made of thick plastic and can be placed outside or inside. I used it to install a Nanostation M2 locomotive. Is it a suction cup mount or does it come with a wall plate for wall mounting with screws (also included). I mounted mine on the inside of a window via a suction cup and pointed the other window at another nanostation (probably not perfect, but it worked). Quick and easy setup. All you need is a small Phillips screwdriver to screw down the top of the holster once the station isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • accessories for television
Cons
  • folding box

Does not work with NanoStation AC Loco

This does not work with NanoStation AC Loco by default. It will work if you have the tools and guts to change it as needed. There are two problems. The dovetail slot that the Nanostation fits into is too small. You can force it, but removing things is the best solution here. Once you get past that hurdle, you'll find that the NanoStation will only slide until the case bottoms against the mounting plate ledge. Therefore, you need to cut off the protruding part so that it goes all the wayโ€ฆ

  • Electronics
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised
