I'm glad it was cheap

I have some regrets. I've watched some incredible videos on how it works, but I just can't compare it myself. I've used different thicknesses, different heater lengths, and I hardly ever get a blister, and what I get is patchy. I'm also used to pressing down on the bullet nib to get a steady flow of ink, but if you press down on the bullet nib while the pen is pointing down, the ink seeps out really quickly and it took me a few puddles to get it out to get the hang of it. Possibly operator…

Pros
  • Model number: 1022S-C
Cons
  • Not sure

Practice, practice, practice.

My first try with this marker left a large blob of ink on the page - maybe I just need more practice(?), although I have used such ink and markers before with a small problem . After I transferred the ink (using a colorless blending pen) from the balloon to another spot in smaller amounts, it worked fine. When heated, the ink swelled well. I can think of many uses for this marker, especially on Christmas cards. My advice: practice on scrap paper before using it for your valuable work.

Pros
  • Packaging Weight: 0.07 lbs
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Easy to soil, easy to burn

Get an attractive fluffy snow effect if you do it right. But it drips, spills out in large portions, and spreads everywhere in unpredictable ways. I've used a craft heat gun, heat gun, and lighter, and it takes a lot of effort to get it puffed, but I feel like it's too easy to light (it turns brown/black like a marshmallow, while some are still liquid and not bulging where it burns. I shake it thoroughly and it comes in varying thicknesses/amounts. I just think the reaction isn't uniform.

Pros
  • Package dimensions: 1.63L x 8.25H x 3.19W (inches)
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled
