The alternator had just been installed and I wanted to make sure that the voltage generated in the various circuits was correct. I know that the voltmeter should always be plugged into a rarely used outlet to ensure the voltage is correct whenever I want to check it.

Use this in our RV and there was a power outage at the campsite on the 4th of July while camping. When my wife looked at the volt meter it said 30 volts so I immediately turned off the switch and grabbed the volt meter and then hooked it up to the breaker box which read 30 volts there too. I leave it on all the time and watch the tension as I drive by in the RV. Definitely recommend

I wanted the meter to set my little generator to the correct voltage and check it while it was running. use. The HP power supply runs on 100V. There is no need to run the generator at full power. this saves fuel and the generator runs at a much lower speed. The voltmeter arrived and it showed a low reading of 2 volts. 123v, fluke meter showed 125.5v. I removed the back cover and adjusted with my fluke meter. The voltmeter is now very accurate and works perfectly!
