After first buying this Ugreen adapter it completely stopped working a few weeks after receiving it only to replace it with another Ugreen adapter that it does the same and accidentally dies after about 3.5 weeks. Our Panasonic Plasma TV still works after 13 years but only supports 480p/1080i via HDMI. I just bought a new Xbox not knowing that it is unique to all of our HDMI sources and only supports 720p/1080p. A look at the manual revealed that the television supports 720p via VGA. I have a very nice Sony Bravia TV that the HDMI ports are not working. For a while I just gave it a signal over a cable line, but I wanted to use Comcast on that. After checking that the VGA port still works, I decided to buy this adapter. There were some that were slightly cheaper, but there were questions as to whether they would work with a "TV Stick".
