Works well but noisy.

I had no problems connecting and using the drive, but initially it made such a noise when it was running that I thought it was broken, but everything was fine.

Very noisy but works The seller supports his product!

So I think it works well but very loud. This did what I needed to download the software onto a new computer that didn't have a floppy drive. It took some time for the computer to recognize it as a drive. The money isn't big, so all's well that ends well. Update: The seller sent a replacement. I didn't even ask for a replacement but the seller offered. Couldn't ask for more.

Really cool and comfortable. I'm glad I bought this. I wasn't sure about this brand but now that I've used it several times with no problems I can definitely recommend you to buy it.

Doesn't always connect correctly?

I lost my old external DVD drive and needed to buy a new one which prompted me to buy this one. I use this maybe once a month and it's just not super reliable. Doesn't always connect, but sometimes connects and then randomly disconnects. I suspect something is wrong with the wiring, but it's too late to send it back. :(

Scrap - Bad spindle whistle

As soon as I used it I heard a very loud whine from the drive. Returned. Disgusting product. After returning it, I received emails from the seller asking them to remove this review with a promise to pay me for it.

Brings back missing features

This drive brings back all the features that desktop computers have had for years. I was very impressed with how easy it was to connect and use. My new gaming PC was missing all drives and with this drive I have a CD/DVD drive, SD card slots and additional USB ports.

BLURAY WILL NOT PLAY

Bought because new computer can't play discs. It has some great features, but not the most important ones - playing movies, including BLU-RAY. I went through the whole description a few times before I found the LATEST DEAL says no to TVs, tablets, Blu-ray. Understand that there are many features listed in the description. but just as important, he won't. Also does NOT include instructions for some of us who are not very computer friendly.

Works as it should, available when you need it

Let's be honest. Most people don't need an optical drive these days. Sometimes I might find an old CD or DVD that I burned a long time ago and wonder what the heck is on it. That way I can read what's on it and then transfer what I want to save to my computer. I also have some old DVDs that I like to watch from time to time. Not as loud as other reviews say. Loud but does the job

The drive is loud, like a noisy old-school Windows 98 drive, but it does the job. I have an HP Elitedesk Mini Desktop Computer (model g800 2018 Core I7 6700T, 32GB RAM, 10TB Storage, Windows 10 Pro) and it doesn't have a floppy drive, but I needed a floppy drive to install software and all my music to load . CDs and an SD and Micro SD card reader. It meets all of its requirements for me, all USB ports and SD and micro SD card slots are all functional. No problem as mentioned in other reviews…
