✅ The Delft Clay Method is a highly refined form of sand casting that substitutes genuine Delft Clay from Holland for ordinary casting sand. The process was invented by Hans Karreman, a Dutch goldsmith. Delft Clay is much finer than casting sand, providing remarkably sharp and highly detailed castings in gold, silver, copper-based alloys, pewter, etc. ✅ Castings require very little finishing work. Once you have cast your piece, the Delft Clay can be re-used. Since this is a cold-molding process, molds can be made from patterns composed of wood, wax, epoxy, plastics, and, of course, metal. Because this is a type of sand casting, it is best suited to producing castings without pronounced undercuts. ✅ The Delft Clay Casting Kit includes: 4.4lbs Delft Clay, 2 - 60mm dia. The set is good but the ring is small.

Cast rings are very small but overall a good set. Delft clay is excellent for casting silver objects. I have already cast several different parts with it, but as I said, the casting ring is only suitable for very small parts. I had to make a bigger ring so I could cast bigger pieces. I would give 5 stars if the casting ring was bigger.

Nice set to start with!

A good starter kit. The shape is solid and works great. The audio itself works well and there is enough in the kit for dozens of projects. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because: 1. The instructions included are a bit sparse.2. Although the shape is solid and well made and also contains a lot of tone, I find the price a bit high for what you get. casting type. It's not difficult, and in addition to the burner and crucible, you'll need this kit. So I recommend.

GREAT for casting parts!

Have never used this stuff, TOTAL noob with it. I have experience with lost wax casting so thought I'd give it a try! Now this stuff is AMAZING! As with lost wax casting, a fingerprint or file mark on the original MUST appear on the cast. If you are a noob like me you need this for DETAILS in your artwork. If you just want to make a simple smooth piece use some Petrobond which is very similar to this but not as fine sand. I liked the rings that come with the set, I will be buying more. Also…

If cost is an issue, try comparing Delft versus Petrobond to see if the latter gives reasonable results.

I got the results I wanted so I chose Delft over Petrobond but wasn't too keen on how expensive Delft clay is and being a very skeptical person from experience am I did it Not having Petrobond to compare I was a little worried they sent me the latest cheaper material instead of real Delft which I am still not sure but I got the results I wanted. and the product is mostly reusable and fun to work with.
