Excellent quality, excellent condition, highly recommended

Great price, tailor's chalk in good packaging in several colours. Multiple colors so you have options for light and dark fabrics. Safe and chalk are separated in the box. There weren't any broken parts, which is quite surprising considering the package was likely tossed around in transit. I definitely recommend buying this tailor's chalk

Pros
  • Marking and locating tools
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Great for the Money - Sewing Tools

Well this box will definitely be with me for the rest of my life. I would give this review 5 stars for quantity but the chalk is a bit waxy; not calcareous. I've washed my clothes several times and it still looks great. So DO NOT use red or blue on anything light or bright as it may show through the fabric. They are yellow which is what I used and as I said it is still visible after I wash the clothes.

  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Makes Me Angry

Very important. Leaves marks on fabric - do not iron

I have tried this tailor's chalk on cotton and denim quilts. Going through the starting edge (which looks like plastic or something, it marked the cotton well, skipped the denim a bit. I've tried all the colors and my favorite was red, it's really smooth. It does NOT come off easily with hot Iron or steam iron, but washed with regular detergent and rubbed a little by hand. At a great price, it leaves cut lines.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some mistakes

Terrible packaging, normal product

Terrible packaging (-1 star) See photo of terrible packaging. I'm surprised how intact the chalk was when I received it. Only one chalk had broken off, none broke. The red chalk is the only one I had a little more trouble getting to appear on the fabric. Maybe it's the specific stuff I wanted to penetrate? (Faja powernet) But there was no problem using white on the same fabric. In any case, I wish it was easier as this is the color I have to use the most. They don't get dirty, don't leave…

  • This is amazing

Totally unusable

This material is rock hard and you can only see a faint hint of a chalk line if you file the edge before attempting to mark the fabric. I've been to tailors before and used chalk - not sure what the substance is but I'm assuming it's at least 50% concrete or 100 tons of pressure. I added a photo, the vertical line pushes very hard, the fabric crumpled when I ran chalk across it. The diagonal line on the left was squeezing, which I think is normal. You can see where I had to file the edge to…
