🚙 RV Bumper Receiver Adapter by Ultra-Fab Products - Model 35-946401 Review

I lost $1000 worth of bikes on the I 40 at rush hour. The sub holding the clamp broke. Luckily, the bikes slid off the road and no one was hurt. I couldn't pick up the bikes because they slipped off the road at the construction site. I met another person at the campsite who had the same experience.

We use a standard frame hitch to tow the car behind our RV. I added it to the top of the RV's square tube bumper to attach the bike rack. Works very well. I wouldn't use it to tow a car or trailer over 1000lbs. This part will probably hold up, but it will most likely rip off the bumper!

So I followed the directions and didn't overload it but definitely consider what you attach it to. Apparently fitting a bike rack to the bumper of my trailer was too much and the bumper got bent and I lost my bike. Didn't bend down at the last stop. hard lesson. Also, the clutch hole itself didn't stay tight, so I tightened each stop.

Why would anyone spend more money on this part? This one is perfect. Excellent welds and coatings. The hardware looks like it will outlast the trailer bumper. I'm using this for a flagpole holder that I also bought. I didn't want to spend too much money on a ladder mount, especially since I can use it for anything, including a generator stand.

If I could leave "ZERO" stars I would. The product is made of very soft steel and has no reinforcement ring around the place where the bike carrier is inserted. This thing got so dingy within 100 miles that I had to remove the bikes and load them into our trailer so other motorists wouldn't notice me and tell me our bike rack was about to fall over. I ordered 2 of these to reinforce the bumper brace on my son in law's RV. I used two of these with 2" square tubing to reinforce the outside edges of the rack. Neither of them were truly square. One was even more trapezoidal than square. If I had time to return them for slightly better quality I would buy them . Unfortunately they had to leave the next day. If you're looking for something that can easily handle a standard 2" mount, this might not be what you're looking for. Pro. Not for towing…

Very cheaply made and completely welded horribly crooked. First I will use it to carry light loads. I only carry a light luggage rack. So for the folks, THIS IS NOT FOR TOWING, none of these bolts are EVER 4" x 4". Read horror stories about stupid people who actually give too much importance to it, it's ridiculous. In any case.
