Better than Rubbermaid

Have two of these to make sweet tea everyday. The main reason was the ease of cleaning. The entire container is available for sanitary cleaning. Two Rubbermaid jugs with hollow handles were used. They have become awkward because they don't allow you to put your hand inside to clean. Part of the handle was impossible to clean. Also, the plastic they used was stained which also made them look disgusting. got rid of her

Fits easily in the fridge without taking up much space

I like this container for many reasons, the shape doesn't take up space in the fridge, it's easy to clean, doesn't stain, isn't fragile and cute. I already had one that I replaced so I knew its good qualities. What I don't like for some reason (defect?), the lid is very difficult to open. It closes normally, but you have to knock hard to open it. I hope it loosens up with use.

This sucks, skip it in Beverage Servingware

This sucks. Don't try to shake anything in it, it will flow. Pouring is annoying as the spout is flat, there is always some liquid that doesn't drip back into the container. To fill it up to the 1 gallon nominal you have to fill it so your liquid is full as hell next to the seal and again you can't shake it so the seal doesn't hold much. Wouldn't buy again, will use the Crystal Geyser 1 gallon water jug again next time I'm in the dollar store.

  • High marks for support and durability from testers

Not for everyday use

I've been using 2 of these as my main water jugs for over 6 months. I liked them at first but I won't buy them again. My family drinks a lot of water and we use it throughout the day, which means the green lid has to be opened and closed a lot. Not only is it very noisy when opened, but cracks appear little by little (as in the photo). I would say they can be used occasionally or at a party but definitely not every day or to hold your family's favorite beverage.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Cheap, thin lid makes it difficult to use.

I have the same jug, only smaller. It works well and appears to be well made. I ordered this with another smaller one and again the smaller one is great but this one isn't as good. The lid is very thin, it should be a little thicker. It's difficult to put on because it's so thin and doesn't want to attach properly. It takes some time to get it right. When I put the green lid on she doesn't want to stay and when I open the lid she likes to jump out too. The jug itself is good, the problem is the

Won't flow! the best in serveware

Didn't know how good this jar was when I looked at the photos online. I kept it upside down in the fridge because that was the only way I could put it in. Not a drop! The narrower pitcher fits almost anywhere. I love it. I mainly use it for water so it's pretty easy to clean. My only problem, I'm ashamed to admit, was that I couldn't figure out how to open it to pour out the water. I played with it until I finally figured it out. I guess I just don't go out often enough because I've never seenโ€ฆ

Probably the best you can find for the price

This is one of the few plastic rectangular gallon jugs I've found at a lower price. I doubt there is anything better for the money. I use it to brew a full pitcher of tea (10 bags in half a gallon of boiling water) and it works great. But it has one flaw that holds it back from 5 stars: the spout. Closes tightly enough but requires a decent amount of force to open - I saw another review where the lid broke under pressure and I can see why. I use two hands and "push and lift" at the same time on

  • Handy 1 gallon jug

  • Unsure

Spend your money elsewhere, this sucks!

Our first leaked out from under the lid when pouring so they called and sent a replacement. The next went the same way. The leaks were so bad that the item became unusable. You'll have better luck pouring soda from a 5-gallon bucket into a thimble than using this absolute piece of junk to fill a glass. Don't waste money on it. It leaks and you can't use it without making a mess. The return was annoying too. I had to return one to the supply closet and the other to the stake shop. I don't really
