FIRST IMPRESSION: Exactly as expected. USE CASE: View film negatives. Problem. The light is bright enough to view my film negatives. The surface is evenly illuminated with no visible screen or pattern at 8x magnification. (See attached photo.) Although it comes with a USB cable, it didn't include an adapter or square spade lug to plug it into an outlet. I bought this lightbox for a calligraphy project. I promised to review the wedding invitations and the simple approach of making light pencil lines on the stationery and erasing them didn't work. I placed lined paper in each envelope and used an ultra-thin A4 portable lightbox to light the lines through the envelopes. It worked like a charm. The light box is a very good size, dimmable and very portable. I would like to point out that when i got my first lightbox, it had a problem turning it on.
