I am not satisfied with this product. The entire top part comes off very easily and doesn't snap. And the swing lid won't level when you put dirt in it. It opens and stays open. Next time I'll spend more for a more durable product.

I was excited about this wastepaper basket but I was very disappointed. The lid is terrible. It turns completely over and is usually twisted so that the underside is facing up. When you add garbage the rocker arm doesn't move because it needs so much room to move in the tank. This is a trash can and it still holds trash, but using this bucket makes me wish I'd bought something else.

Boy I don't like this thing - the swing lid doesn't work at all when you're trying to fill the dumpster because there has to be room for the stupid swing lid so I take out garbage bags , which are only half full - and yes, the clip lock always stays in the open position unless I manually close the 3/18/21 update. I ordered a regular bin and yes they are way overpriced these days - but that's the price to pay to have a decent bin. This jar is definitely coming back because it's useless.

Wow I'm so disappointed in this bin! I have four other Umbra iron-on lenses and I really like them, but thought I'd get a slimmer model for the kitchen. Too bad I didn't read the reviews because I didn't waste my money! The lid is a piece of junk for all the reasons others have mentioned. Not worth paying more money to return, miso, I think I'll find a place to use it where I don't have to struggle with the lid on a daily basis. Umbra should be ashamed to put their name on this product.

Well I really like this bin. In fact, I received it specifically for recycling. I felt it was a bit overpriced but it was more convenient to book so the convenience paid for itself quite a bit. I don't like that the lid doesn't turn when the van is more than 3/4 full due to the shape and low scoop, but that's a common drawback of the tilting lid jug . If you're ok with that, this is a great jar for you. We bought this to frustrate our dog who loves to steal from junk and it works great. The nickel paint is forgiving of the occasional drip and drip, and for the price the tin opens and closes smoothly.
