I bought this umbrella for my trip to Disney after looking at the recommendations of some travel planning groups. I didn't know if it would be better than an ordinary umbrella but I decided to give it a try. Update. As of May 2020 this little umbrella is still working great. I bought a white one from another brand that was a bit bigger but the mechanism didn't run as smoothly as this one so I'll go with the white color of that brand for a more summery look. Also, I prefer the smaller footprint, it fits better in pockets, wallets, etc. FYI - original purchase was made in March 2018. Excellent sun protection and durable umbrella. I wear a hat. I really liked this umbrella at first because it was great to walk around Southern California for a while without the strong summer rays burning my flesh . My area hasn't had this much wind and rain in months. After each use I put the umbrella back in its case. I've been using it almost every day for less than a month and it's already falling apart from what I can only guess by opening and closing it with a button or holding it down while walking through a relatively windless sunny environment.
