It doesn't leak. Doesn't melt in the microwave. It goes clean in the dishwasher, on the bottom or top shelf. Doesn't melt in the microwave. Until there are no more stains. That's all you can ask for in a bowl. That's all I ask of it.

I bought these because I needed something for the van that wasn't plastic. They look like plastic, heat up and color just like plastic. If you reheat them in the microwave, they'll be very hot to the touch, so you'll need to use oven mitts. If you put in tomato soup or dye food, they will discolor like plastic, so keep that in mind too. They are solid and durable. These bowls are great for dishes like cereal, soup etc. They can be reheated in the microwave when cooking uncolored foods like oatmeal. Heating food in it, such as chili peppers or spaghetti, stains them and the stain cannot be removed. Boiling gelatin in it for a serving will also color it. I've tried everything to get it and it's not possible. Now there are 2 bowls for "red" foods (chili, spaghetti, red jelly, etc.).
