💡 Enhanced Dive Light by Underwater Kinetics: C8 eLED (L2) Review

C8 definitely brighter than C4. Same functionality, still requires type C batteries. But I make more dives with this flashlight than the C4 before recharging the batteries. The cost was a little higher than the C4, but it was worth it!

I have a 20 year old UK bulb and this thing has served me well over the years. I decided to add another light source to my collection and wow it's really bright. Much lighter and will hopefully last a few more years.

Looks like good light. I've added some silicone grease to the threads and o-ring to keep it watertight and so far it's been fine. The switch is a bit fiddly and doesn't feel that solid, but I like that it clicks into place. Gloves would be impractical for the job. Overall I'm happy with this light.

First try I charged the battery, aligned it properly and rotated the lens 1/4 of the first resistance. Flickering light is nothing, also tried with C batteries and nothing. Sent this one back, will try the second one. *Update - The second one I bought from a different seller came in a different package with a different colored battery. I suspect there are fakes. This looks real and works as expected

Taken out of the box, charged the battery overnight, switched it on and the light worked for less than a minute before going out! NOT WORTH THE MONEY! I mean, a ten dollar flashlight lasts longer than a minute. I've used UK all my life and loved it but it was a total disappointment. I don't know what's up with quality control, but someone is taking a nap at work. Thank god they let me return!

I have had a deep dive light for almost twenty years (since 1997) and it just broke. I never had to change a battery or lightbulb until it failed about 2 months ago. As they no longer made this model (a shame) I wanted to stick with the British brand and decided to give it a try. So far it works great. Has two brightness settings. I ordered it shortly after my old one died and was very happy with this deep dive light.

I haven't had a good dive light since the UK600R. I bought the LED version from the manufacturer and was very disappointed after this purchase. I have just purchased this UKC8 (L2) LED dive light. I was very unsure if an LED bulb would ever do the job at night. I've recently used it at night on some undesirable water conditions, but this light exceeded my expectations. Wow! I bought this as a light for night diving and wreck penetration. It has a normal and "bright" toggle switch on the trigger. The normal beam is absolutely perfect for night diving, while the "bright" beam is ridiculously bright. :) I added a split ring to the handle so I can easily attach it to my BCD. When reassembling, make sure you lined up the shutter release slot correctly when putting on the lens (it took me a few tries), and make sure the springs are "down" before inserting the batteries.
