🐓 French Country Rooster Design Area Rug - Unique Loom Barnyard Collection (3' 3 x 5' 3, Ivory/Olive) Review

This is great. Obviously it's not wool so the quality of the wool rug isn't up to scratch which I've stumbled across a couple of times but I think the price is right! I have 2 cats and a dog who threw up on my previous one so I won't be upset if that happens!

I can only give 3 stars because the carpets have a weird smell. Colors are darker than stated. Closer to golden yellow than cream. But it's a nice rug. For the price I was hoping it wouldn't be so slippery on the floor. Double sided tape will fix this. I like the pattern. A bit expensive.

This rug is great for the kitchen and does the job. The carpet is darker than the picture but I'm not complaining. I bought a liner to cushion it a bit and also to keep it from slipping. The price was incredibly cheap - definitely a good buy and arrived as expected.

I love these rugs, they are so unique and the colors are great! I think they are such a great price and the mats are high quality and very soft, they also come with stickers to keep them in place. They add great style to a farmhouse, rustic French country house or traditional themed decor. Since black is super trendy right now, they really bring together a room that has shades of black, just like me. You won't be disappointed, I bought 4!

I am very glad that we received these two mats. The round one gets the most compliments because it's round and people like the "unexpected" shape. It is very well made, soft, with a subtle pile and bright colors on a black background. It took some time deciding between black or cream as each has their own tendency towards dirt or lint. I didn't unbox and unpack the rug because the rug was packaged so poorly that I knew it wouldn't lay flat on the floor even over time and I would be constantly hurt foot from it! The carpet was partly rolled in the package and partly folded. The folds are very badly crumpled. Also, the ends of the package were folded and there was a huge rubber band around the carpet that gave the ends an irregular shape and again they never lay on the floor.

I bought this rug to put between my sink and the black kitchen island. I already had an olive and ivory under my hexagonal dining table. While black is beautiful and looks great with a black island, it picks up lint terribly. I vacuum it twice a day and I have a long haired cat that loves to lie on it which makes it worse. I tried without a mat but it was slippery, after adding the mat everything was perfect. I regret buying the black, but I highly recommend the light.

So this is not exactly the carpet shown in the picture. I did some research and Unique Looms has another French Country Rooster and I'm pretty sure it's the same version. Full disclosure, I like the version I received more than the one in the product image. I'm not sure which version is in the product image but if you order it you will receive what is in my image which is more of a tan/olive color than cream. I still like it and it's still very pretty. I have nothing bad to say about this mat. In fact, the pad turned out to be even better than I expected as the description says a mat is required. The taps aren't very good, but they are what you would expect from a rug at this price point. I think people should know it's GREEN! When you look at an ad, you see a green box. It didn't seem "too green" to me. The border turned out to be discreet. But personally, that boundary dominates, and anyone looking at the rug will say it's green if asked…
