does everything you'd expect from a USB 2 drive

With USB 3 having been around since 2008, I'm still amazed at how many USB 2 drives are still around. The USB 3drive is at least 10 times faster, with better power management and apart from the highest capacity drives, they really don't cost more. You can get a USB 3 drive with the same capacity as these drives for the same price. USB 3.1 drives are apparently a bit more expensive these days. Unless you have a lot of older devices, this USB drive isn't all that impressive. So this 64GB drive…

Standard USB Drive: Data Storage

The size is right, transferring 1GB JPEG photos to a USB 2.0 drive from my computer through the USB 2.0 port averages about 4.2MB/s . Transferring JPEG photos back to the computer was much faster at around 170MB/s. There's no LED on the unit, which might be a good thing if you don't need one, but the lack of an indicator is too odd for me. I don't like the outside switch cover because it doesn't keep out dust, lint, moisture, etc. If you have a USB cover, the pivot cover can slide over it, so…

Slowly slowly . fits computers and accessories

This compact drive is well made and like the old Kingston Data Traveler drives, the USB port is protected by a rotating cover. Unlike the Kingston, the lid snaps into place with a latch that keeps it in place. Good looking product. Out of curiosity, I tried transferring some files to this drive as soon as it arrived. I laughed when the files transferred were in Chinese. The folder name was in English and everything else in Chinese characters. However, after formatting everything was fine. Well,

Good size, nice style - large capacity.

like swing style - don't lose cover. I have a bin with a bunch of old lidless USB drives and a few lidless discs. I have a lot of USB sticks, but they are older and 8GB or less. I have a few different tool discs that I use to troubleshoot PC issues. I decided it was time to put all the tools on one larger drive, so I went with 64GB - that should last me for a while. Now I've heard that some unscrupulous online sellers can fake the capacities of a USB drive, it seems like it has a lot of storage

Just in time and just what I needed

It arrived on time and earlier than expected. That's exactly what I need. Very durable and great flip for protection. 32GB is a good amount of portable storage, ideal for transferring pictures and documents from my home laptop to my work computer and vice versa.

  • Pleasant to use

Efficient USB Stick 2

My old workhorse USB stick mysteriously died a few days ago so I was desperate to replace it. The old one was only 8GB and I was happy to upgrade to a larger drive. This device is small but has a protective cover that can be thrown over the working end. It worked, finding right out of the package. Granted, this is a 2.0 device, meaning it's a bit older technology, but I've received transfer rates of 15+GB (sometimes up to 5, but that depends on file size and other variables). In other words…

Good transport drive with no buffering issues

I like the design of this USB drive because I have a habit of losing USB end caps. It has a wobbly metal profile. In its place, the tip (almost like a small cage) protects the USB connector from damage if you drop it in your pocket. There is a hole for you to attach a lanyard if you wish (although the lanyard is not included). The case is a little more stylish than most block-shaped competitors and has rounded corners so it won't puncture or snag your pocket or bag if you're careless with it…

  • Easy to read control panel
