This remote control has both TV mode and DVD (BLU-RAY) mode. It operates the common features of most but not all models of LG TV and DVD Equipment. For most LG TV models, it’s no need setting up. If it is not workable for your TV directly, Please press both “Power" and “1” buttons, keep 2 seconds, then check it with your TV. If you want to go back to the TV defaut status, Please press both “power” and “0” buttons, keep 2 seconds. For DVD model, Please press the button “BLU-RAY” in 1 second.

A little confusing, but it works!

It took a minute or two to set up. Was very confused because the replacement only came in plastic with no instructions. I put the batteries in and it didn't work at first, but after playing with it for a minute or two it installed automatically and works great.

Great for hotel use when the included remote prevents input source changes

This remote has worked great for me when I've stayed in hotels and need input for another HDMI device like a Fire Stick Revain or a Wanted to change playstation , xbox, laptop socket etc. So far it has worked in 4 different places without programming. Highly recommended!

Bought LG OFFER UP DVD Player and .

I bought a DVD player from LG OFFER UP and the guy didn't have a remote control and the DVD player only had two buttons on the machine. It was impossible for me to control the device without a remote control, but I found this one. The ads said no setup was required for any LG device, and they were right. I put the batteries in, pointed to the DVD player and off we went. Worked as advertised. BUT worked for a month and then stopped. Pooh
