Excellent fprba 2500 - catalytic converters

This worked great on my 2500 Silverado. It was the right size tubing for a 2500. I used an expander to push it deeper into the extra tube I had.

not yet installed. It looks like it should work. Both ends have an inner diameter of 3 inches. It would be better if the outlet end was 3 inches in diameter.

No worse than the original

Took it to the muffler shop and replaced the original catalytic converter cut off by thieves! From the moment I walked out of the muffler shop I didn't notice any difference from the original equipment!

great for custom exhaust

works great in my 82 k5 blazer. Of course, it's not a direct replacement. I upgraded my exhaust system to a 3" exhaust for better sound and performance compared to the stock exhaust. It's been more years since it was installed and no problems, I welded it on instead of just clamping it down

Good price, no problems

Others complained about thin metal, no problem with welding. Most exhaust pipes are 14-16 gauge, which seems to match factory pipe gauge. Emissions are passed, I don't see any drop in performance. I would buy it again even if it rots in a few years compared to a few hundred bucks for a straight fit.

Met/Exceeded Expectations

Purchased for my 2000 Camaro Z28. Mounted just behind my long headers on a 3" Y pipe. Bought these to help with drone and fuel smell. Very helpful with both issues. Car sounds better and raw fuel smell is gone. Only for about Installed about a week so will try to give another review in about a month.

Works great, great price!

I fitted my Saab 9000 Aero with a full 3 inch stainless steel exhaust. There was no cat, just a straight pipe. Although the car passes the emissions without the cat I did not pass a visual inspection (yes. It was easy to cut the correct length from the center pipe (in the same place as the original) and glue it in place. The spool is for one pipe 3" OD pre-flared. I used 2.3" pre-formed band clamps for a lap joint and no leaks. Works great and I passed the test.

Lucky for me

I will not talk about the experience of others with this product. Only my. The reason I bought this is because it claimed to be able to handle engines up to 5.9L. My engine is a 3.8L GM. I cut out the old catalytic converter and welded this in. Of course, I knew from the beginning that I had to modify it so that it was in the same place as the old converter. 10 psi to check my welds for leaks. After reinstalling the exhaust system in the car and extensive test drives, I found this converter toโ€ฆ
