Universal Control Pedal Sewing Machine Review

The pedal is probably not compatible with my sewing machine. The car goes from not responding to full throttle. I must have misunderstood. This does not work on all machines.

I ended up having to cut the foot pedal off and connect the original pedal to it as the new one wasn't an adjustable control. Either off or at full speed. Luckily the old pedal was fine so I just used the wiring and jack. I ended up working for myself, but if you need everything I'd skip it.

Great purchase. My wife loves this. Easy installation. My wife isn't that mechanical and just installed it on her grandmother's morse cutter, which was absolutely identical to the pedal. our grandson.

The product has a rheostat but it does not work. The sewing machine is either turned off or fully turned on as quickly as possible, it cannot be made easier with this pedal. I have a broken or horrible design. It has a variable speed rheostat, black knob in picture. However, due to the design, it touches the head of the screw that attaches the rheostat to the foot pedal, completing the shift, bypassing the variable speed entirely. Will work for you if you don't care about variable speed.

I have a sewing machine that is over 100 years old. The cable was unsafe and I needed a replacement. When I saw that I could buy a new cable and pedal I was ecstatic! However, the sight of flimsy, cheap metal pedals versus heavy, thick, retro metal pedals made me sad. The speed variability that people are talking about is also an issue. The speed was either fast or even faster. I realized I could replace the cable and keep my old pedal. Because the tension was the same. I'm not an electrician…
