Works, but maybe not the best solution.

This worked, for the most part. The shim tool did it's job just fine, but the suction pliers didn't exactry work as I expected. The suction cups work fine, but the unit as a whole is kind of clunky. I gave up on using them that way and just straightened out one suction cup and pulled. I think one of the suction cups with a ring would have been easier to use on my smart phone.

The suction is perfect, like having another pair of hands. The knife makes cutting the adhesive easy. Worth the money. That's my feedback.

An excellent tool set for opening stubborn (read Galaxy S7) glass phone cases

Fantastic and much needed tool to remove stubborn back covers.I tried to remove the curved glass cover on my S7 to replace the battery using a suction cup and guitar pick that came with the replacement unit. Unfortunately with only one suction cup and a curved back cover there is nothing to hold on to and I ended up cracking my cover. After this I bought this kit and had the cover off in no time. You really do need the spludger tool (thin metal blade) and suction cup pliers to open difficult…

It worked pretty good. Unlike iphone

I used this to open my Galaxy S6's back cover so that I can replace the battery. It worked pretty good. Unlike iphone, when open the S6, pay attention on which side get lifted first. S6's screen seperated first instead of the back.

Worked great for replacing my Samsung Galaxy S7 battery

This worked great in getting the cover off my Galaxy S7. The opening blade was the star of the show, with the suction cup pliers playing the supporting role. The blade was thin enough to slip itself in and help begin removing the adhesive, and strong and flexible enough to see the job through. I would recommend this kit if all you have are the guitar pick and single suction cup that may come with some replacement batteries.

Helpful tool for my opinion

Clamp did not stick as well as I had hoped. Pry tool works good. The clamp does help and work better than just the usual suction cupUPDATE: Showpin reached out to me and said they were going to get the manufacturer to upgrade the thickness and durability of the suction cup. I applaud Showpin for making things right and reaching out to me to solve an issue with their product.

Must Have Tool best in my review

I use this tool to remove the display on iPhones or even the back on a Pixel 3. It is probably the best phone tool I have purchased. I was able to apply a steady pressure to separate the phone while the heat was carefully applied around the edge. I use a small hobby heat gun to apply the heat as it has a small 1/2 inchoutlet and is easier to control and focus on small areas.

A Good Value - my new review

This suction cup set works far better than the stand alone suction cups. If you plan on removing a cell phone or tablet LCD screen this is the tool to do it with. Don't waste your time with other devices.

I would never try to replace the new glued together phones without the suction cup tool. I would like it to be cheaper but I think it is a necessity for me to replace the S7 battery.

Just replaced the battery in my wife’s Nexus 6P. Unfortunately, the Showpin LCD Screen Opening Pliers with Strong Suction Cups was not able to maintain a suction with one of the suction cups. I switched sides several times, moistened the cup, cleaned the cup and dried the cup and still one cup would not hold a good suction. The concept is perfect but the cup on one side was defective. The double-sided prying tool was useful. It made the job much easier. I believe that I just got a defective…

Great phone tool kit

I like these pliers used a heat gun on low to heat up the back cover on my s6 edge and put the suction cup pliers on and pilled right up worked great shipped to my door in two days thank you.

The right tool - my new review

Currently using it. So far I have gone through 20 phones and there are more to come. It’s almost perfect; I wish it had some sort of mechanism to keep the tool open after praying open the phones.

I used this tool to open my Galaxy S9 phone to change the battery. I did not use the phone holder since it got in the way. I used by wife's hair drier to heat the edges of the phone to soften the glue. I heated around, keeping moving the drier constantly while applying open force with the tool until the back surface reached about 120 to 125 deg F as measured by my digital fever thermometer set to measure surface instead of body. Not for 6S/7 and up

Good kit, the pry tool is very thin and can slip between the screen and body to get the screen up on hard to pop phones.However, the suction tool is very small. It works fine for 5 and 6s but does not have enough grab to open 6s and 7 phones which have the seal.Overall worth the cost, just not what I was expecting.
