I've had several KVM switches in the past and they've all had problems (or my computers have had problems) getting stuck when switching back and forth. This has worked flawlessly so far. The only problem is that one of the computers doesn't wake up when I switch to it, so having to press the power button to "push" it isn't a big deal. The wiring (for me) was a little tricky. I bought this unit on July 15th, today August 12th one of the HDMI inputs has stopped working. I tried different combinations of HDMI cables to rule this out as the culprit. The keyboard and mouse switching feature still works, so I'll probably just switch the HDMI cable manually until I find a suitable replacement. There was also one instance where I had to unplug and plug the keyboard back in for the Switch to recognize it.

I found it odd that the keyboard/mouse didn't switch. I found it even weirder when the keyboard stopped working when connected directly to a computer when the keyboard worked 5 minutes ago. Although this device does NOT have audio as part of the switching function, I have given up dealing with KVM switches regardless of brand. NONE of them last, and I mean ZERO. I work in IT but need a fast and dirty home KVM for a project. I plugged everything in and while it worked, switching between displays and KM was VERY slow. Not to mention that this might not be a problem with this KVM in particular (I haven't noticed this with others) since my resolution is higher on my external monitor than on my laptop, my window position changed every time I turn on switch the input to another computer. I use it to switch between office and personal laptops. Works very well and toggles all my peripherals (external webcam, keyboard, mouse, monitor and printer) with the push of a button. The switch offers a USB port for a monitor and a keyboard. The third USB port allows you to connect a USB hub. I connected the printer to an active ANKER splitter. The only issue I've encountered is cable management. 9 ports require 9 wires coming out of the device. And there are no mounting holes in this block.
