This product is not made to last forever.

Purchased on 6th August and the top near the lever broke as seen in the picture today 21st August after being used for keto flatbreads about 4 times. This shouldn't have happened as the lever was never pushed all the way down to the ingredients. When it works, it's everything you can dream of until it breaks after minimal use.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Good product and large diameter is nice too!

Excellent product - we've been rolling flat cakes for several years and finally we can quickly press and get started! This product is very heavy and comes with a spare bolt and nut in case it breaks. There is a lot of pressure on the bolt when you push it, so I believe the bolt may break or wear out, although I haven't had that experience.

Even pressure across the board

I use it to roll out dough for pies and puff pastry. Much better than a rolling pin - no cracks or "ears" sticking out of the circle of dough. The circles are even on all edges and uniform in thickness. The only downside is that if the dough is drier and harder to mash, you really have to add some weight.

  • Great for me

Hinge Pins on Quesadilla and Tortilla Makers

Hinge Pins Should Be Replaced with Class 8 Pins Tortillas get thicker. I had to run to the store and look for them. Just go to your local hardware store and buy a few of these which should be under $1. If you don't flex the handle, you won't be able to knock it out much, but it will be a little painful. Otherwise it works great, well made. Would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the cheap screws.

Pros
  • New to My Collection
Cons
  • Durability

DO NOT buy this item.

I've been making flour tortillas for a while, I used to flatten my flour tortillas with a rolling pin and it was so messy I "thought" a tortilla press would clean everything up and make the tortillas more uniform. BIG mistake buying this product. He squeezes the cakes too thick. They were more like pizza dough when flattened. I am absolutely dissatisfied with my purchase. I wouldn't even rate 1 but there is no zero option. I would like to return this item.

Great Tortilla Press

We started making our tortillas at home to avoid the flammable industrial seed/vegetable oils used in most store-bought processed flour tortillas. You can bake slightly larger cakes with this 10 inch press. The press works great! The hinges are strong and the cast iron is heavy and presses well. For best results, I press, open, twist, and squeeze the tortilla a few times to get the desired thickness. My family is eating a little healthier now, and we're able to make a batch of tortillas in a…

Relieved flatbread

This product ticks all the boxes. This made my homemade tortillas perfect for cooking. I'm on a low carb program and made the dough with almond flour. The tortillas came out the perfect size and thickness. One thing that should have been mentioned was that you should place the tortillas between the parchment paper with the shiny side next to the tortillas. We didn't notice this and it was difficult to remove the cakes from the paper where it was dull. We'll remember that next time. Also, the…

Tortilla Press: Small Home Appliances

You have to press hard to roll out the dough. I've read reviews and even attempted to build a wooden tortilla press. The dough will be flat, but not enough. You would lean on the handle and something would always break. This tortilla press delivers tremendous pressure with a light squeeze on the handle. DO NOT add your weight. You built solid. 10 inches is also larger than most flatbreads. Flatten the dough, compress it and be sure to use wax paper or something similar. The only change I would…
