The price is great for this bread knife

This is a very long bread knife. It works great and the price is right. The blade is serrated. It's also great for slicing cakes and large loaves of bread.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Good but not great

This is a bad plane

It should be a plane but its edge leaves the material in crumbs. It is not suitable for a bread knife and it cuts less than meat. I do not recommend this.

Pros
  • a good thing
Cons
  • not sure

Much sharper than old bread knives. Caution!

This knife makes it easy to layer cakes, I ended up making 15 to 23 layered cakes. That's an achievement I've been trying to master for months.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • There are shortcomings

Very happy with the purchase

Very happy with the purchase. For example extra blade length. It works much better in the slicer than the 8 inch blade we used before. The knife is very sharp and cuts well. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Ideal for crusty bread

This is a strong knife that won't bend on a hard crust - it's easy to cut a straight slice instead of the thick and thin wavy ones I get with mine old knife edge. It has rather coarse teeth and may not be suitable for softer breads, but it works great for mine.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Operating speed

It's the best I've ever used

Great, a bread knife that works! The Update International KGE-06 10" forged stainless steel bread knife is the best I've ever used. I found it cuts through both soft and hard breads, as well as vegetables like peppers, without crushing. I recommend this product for the Use in any kitchen (home or professional).

Pros
  • Useful for more than its intended purpose
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Very happy with this knife

I am very happy with this knife. I only bake bread with hard crusts and soft crumbs and this knife cuts them evenly with great results. I used to use an 8 inch Calphalon bread knife, which I was happy with except that it was too short. This knife is a fitting upgrade. It's also very cheap for such a good knife.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Not bad

Great knife! in the kitchen and dining room

I've recently started baking homemade bread and the 8 inch knife that came with my expensive block set was too small to cut the loaves cut. After researching almost every knife on offer including the brand I currently own I decided to give this one a try and I have to say it is a wonderful knife for the price! It's at least 3 inches longer than my existing bread knife and just as strong and functional as more expensive knives. I would recommend this knife to everyone, it's value for money and…

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • For old

Beautiful COPY cuts poorly, damages loaves of bread very easily.

Simply put, this is a commercial knife with a beautiful design, forged steel blade, very sharp, well balanced, bulky and "heavy". The big problem is that it doesn't cut bread well. The blade feels very sharp, but the geometry of the teeth is insufficient to easily cut through the crusty bread crust. Normally a soft loaf of bread will be at least slightly crushed when slicing with this knife. The smaller knife I have, made by Henkels, cuts MUCH easier - if I had to work in a restaurant all day…

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Infinitely slow
