Not a bad board BUT the output connections are really lame and

After a few weeks with a breakout board. I was wondering why my new PS isn't outputting 5 volts. It only output 4.91 volts. I got mad at the people who made the PS. But I've found that this board steals some of my excitement. 0.15 volts to be exact. I think it has something to do with PS supplying 3 or 4 channels of 5 volts. and this sample board. uses only 1 channel. I am currently using another board sold at Revain. This allows me to use all channels in one connection. And now I have my 5โ€ฆ

A convenient and affordable way to add extra power to projects

A great way to add extra power to the lab and use computer power supplies. 12V, 5V, 3.3V are the most common electronic ranges and most power supplies have enough power to handle most projects.

  • Availability
Cons
  • I really don't like it, everything is fine

Great for my project Arcade1Up Mod

I've been getting this for a while and decided to write a review for it. I used it for my Arcade1Up Machine Mod project. Basically I modified an Arcade1Up machine using a RaspberryPi with Retropie software. I'm using an old PC power supply and I plug in this adapter to provide all the power the mod needs. 5V -> Raspberry Pi5V -> USB hub that connects to the RaspberryPi while powering the LED arcade buttons 12V -> original screen. I also connected the Arcade1Up's power button to theโ€ฆ

There is no banana in these corks!

The circuit board works and is well made and the price is very reasonable. So good at all of this. However, the connector pins are NOT "banana jack" mounting posts. In fact, there isn't even a through hole in the mounting post - it's just a tiny 10-40 screw with a very small metal shoulder on it, and there's a lot of plastic around. They are very small and very poorly made. I was struggling to make connections and found that unlike any other connection post I've ever used, the base is not allโ€ฆ
