The product worked as advertised. Using the chains and hooks that came with the light, I installed it eight feet above the garage floor and directly above our washer and dryer. And, I positioned the end that contains the motion detector approximately three feet from the door. The light goes on as we step into the garage and says on for approximately 10 minutes. I love, love, love these lights! The motion detection (the reason I chose this product) is superb. The lights are bright and installation was just a couple of screws. The electric cord is somewhat short, but I assume that's for the purpose of connecting them to each other. You wouldn't want long cords hanging from the ceiling. Fantastic purchase! I will be recommending to others!

These are great motion sensing shop lights. I put two in my garage and it is significantly better lighting vs the fluorescent fixtures they replaced. Highly recommended.
