Good value for money

Just received 2 days ago. It works as advertised. Tested with a new 9v battery and the reading was exactly 9.0v. Used in my car to find the ignition powered fuse and it worked fine. Also check if the other fuses are working and the car battery voltage is close to 12.0V. The LED indicator is bright enough to see in daylight and the green/red polarity indicator worked well too. The cord is long enough to stay out of the way in a crowded car. Basically, I am very satisfied with the product and can

Good tester replacement - clamp/clamp is too big.

I was replacing lights and wires on a boat trailer and was looking in my tool box for what I thought was a working test light - WRONG! There were 3 warning lights in my box and none worked anymore. Yes, I haven't needed a car tester for a long time. I've searched the net and was happy to see that they've moved a bit since I bought the last tester around 1984. One downside, the clamp/clamp is too big. I can replace the clip with a smaller alligator clip - just cut the wire and solder a new one.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Reliability

Well done. Works as expected.

This is the third review unit I have bought (I returned the first two) and it does what you would expect. Displays the VOLTAGE difference between clamp and sensor. KEY MOMENT. it also indicates POLARITY. red light for positive probe voltage and green light for negative probe voltage. If you ONLY work with negative ground systems and the clamp is on the frame (ground), many of these testers will work. However, if you have a situation where the probe tip is on the negative side, THIS DEVICE will…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Hard to say
