🚰 URO Parts Water Pump with Metal Impeller, 11517527799 Review

Whilst it didn't look as strong as what I took out I believe the inside was a heavy duty pump. I'm sure it's more comparable to an OEM unit. Connected and up and running for 3 months.

Installed over the weekend, works great on a 2005 325CI machine. I replaced it with the same URO pump 4 years ago, hope this one lasts longer, the old one failed after 50,000 miles. Not a great pump, but a good pump for the price.

Defect after 2 ½ months does not pump water at idle, leaks after 2000 engine revolutions. When the engine warms up, the impeller spins "freely" on the input shaft, poorly assembled. My engine has 200,000 miles in good condition, new hoses, radiator, thermostat, expansion tank and very clean cylinder block cooling ducts that are flushed annually. This pump was tested when received, out of the box, new, it spilled a lot of water on a cold start idling.

The shaft in my water pump seems to have sheared off. The poly V-belt came loose and wrapped itself around the fan clutch. And most of the liquid ran out. Two days ago I noticed a new noise under the hood. Suppose I had to test it. At first I thought the belt tensioner just fell apart, but after removing the case and fan I realized I needed a pump.
