Vital Parts Upgrade

As in any online shop, excellent fit, a huge improvement over standard plastic. Replace yours now if you haven't already, trust me.

Very satisfied and excellent quality

This product was a direct OEM replacement. I had a leak on my 1998 Jaguar XK8 body and replaced it with this part. This part is an update as my xk8 bearing housing has become plastic and brittle over time. This body is aluminum and will last much longer, maybe the life of the car. Overall the quality of the product is excellent and I would recommend anyone looking for a replacement thermostat housing to go for this one. This product is also cheaper than OEM, so why not get an upgrade.

Pros
  • replacement parts
Cons
  • dull packaging

The lid is not tight. on thermostat housing

I put it on and was glad I was done with the slow coolant leak. Unfortunately, the new one leaks out from under the cap on the thermostat tower. The metal cap just doesn't sit flush with the body and doesn't lick well. I ended up taking some thermostatic silicone and put it in the lid, then an o-ring and then some more thermostatic silicone. I screwed it up and left it for 24 hours. Car started and no more leaks. I'm glad I didn't have to take everything off to send it back, but you'd think…
