I put it on and was glad I was done with the slow coolant leak. Unfortunately, the new one leaks out from under the cap on the thermostat tower. The metal cap just doesn't sit flush with the body and doesn't lick well. I ended up taking some thermostatic silicone and put it in the lid, then an o-ring and then some more thermostatic silicone. I screwed it up and left it for 24 hours. Car started and no more leaks. I'm glad I didn't have to take everything off to send it back, but you'd think they'd make something that wouldn't leak. After all, we all buy that item because we probably had a leak in the one we're replacing.
